Breaking Ground!
April 5, 2009
Even pouring rain couldn't stop the groundbreaking ceremony for our new church building!
This is Mr.Clarence Smith, Church Planting Missionary Strategist, Pastor Ross Terry, and Dr. Stephen Davis, Executive Director of State Convention of Baptists in Indiana (SCBI).
Below are Mr. William Tully, Chairman of our Building Committee, and Dr. Davis.
Mrs. Roxie Terry, wife of Pastor Ross Terry, reads the history of Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church.
The rain couldn't dampen our enthusiasm as members pray and sing praises to the Lord!
Ready, set, go! Everybody digs in to turn over the first shovelful of earth.
Members of the Building committee (from left): Sharon & Jerry Danford, John Swift, Loretta Loy, Larry Ervin, Larry Walker, Roxie & Pastor Terry, Bill & Lena Tully, and David Went. Not pictured is Jim Rowland, who was taking pictures! We appreciate the dedication and hard work of all these people. They have worked many long hours to help make our new church a reality! Please don't forget to tell them how much you appreciate them!
Also, you can watch the Video from Channel 18 news from our groundbreaking! (It takes 1-2 minutes for the video clip to load, so please be patient!)
