Welcome!

Pastor Ross Terry

Our Pastor is Welton Ross Terry. A native of Alabama, Ross was born on July 20, 1940. He married Roxie Ferry in 1959, and they had three children, Rochelle, Rhonda, and Rick. They now have a total of 11 grandchildren and one great grandson.

Pastor Ross gave his life to Jesus at the age of 24, and surrendered to preach shortly thereafter. He was licensed to preach in 1966 by the former Creasy Lane Baptist Church in Lafayette, now known as Country Lane Baptist Church. He attended Clear Creek Baptist Bible college in 1969. He also attended Oklahoma Baptist University Extension as well as Ivy Tech State College.

Our pastor began serving the Lord as a student pastor of Darby Baptist Church in St. Charles, Virginia. He also served as student pastor in Kentucky at Pond Baptist Church and Lynch Baptist Church. He then accepted a pastorate at a small church in Virginia, the Bybee Road Baptist Church.

Over the years, Pastor Ross has pastored several other churches before coming to our church in 1999. These are: Calvary Baptist Church in Virginia, Mulberry Baptist Church in Indiana, and First Southern Baptist Church in Indiana (now known as Wea Ridge Baptist Church). In every church he pastored, attendance increased and the churches grew. We are convinced that this is because of his focus on evangelism and new member training.

In fact, the training of new members was of such importance that Roxie wrote the materials for a comprehensive new members class, and has led that class in every church they haved served in. We are so grateful for their dedication and leadership, and the wonderful Christian example they set for all of us. We are indeed blessed by the Lord to have Ross and Roxie Terry here at Twin Lakes, and we pray for God to bless them always in a very real and special way!
